The Mandarin Oriental Macau is one of several hotels in the Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) which was founded in Hong Kong in 1963 and itself is part of the Jardine Matheson Group. It operates in Asia, America and Europe it offers travellers top of the range hotels, apartments and leisure centres. The winner of many awards, MOHG quickly expanded its business by constructing its second hotel complex in Bangkok, Thailand. Several other complexes followed all over the world bringing to just over 40 the number of establishments in the world’s major capitals with the Mandarin Oriental brand.
