Several gaming deadlines
The Belgian gambling regulator is extremely strict about the provision of online gambling to Belgian players. Online casinos are regularly added to the country’s blacklist. Only casino operators who hold a Belgian gaming licence and who are physically present in the country are permitted to offer their online services to players. The gaming regulator’s deadline for observance of all its rules for online casinos was set for March of this year and any operator working outside of these rules faces penalties. A deadline was set for February 2015 for all operators in the country to inform the Belgian gaming authorities that they complied with Belgian gambling licence laws. After the February deadline any operators without a valid licence are placed on a blacklist. The Belgian Gaming Commission is basing its requirement to use live dealers based in Belgium on existing European gambling legislation. Its decision to prohibit any live dealer casino offering services to Belgian players from streaming their live games from a studio or a land based casino in another country lead it to set January 16th as the final date for operators to register their live dealer casinos.
