Playtech becomes a member of the Gaming Standards Association
Playtech is now the largest company in the world providing gaming solutions. The company develops software for online casinos, poker rooms and for internet sports betting. It also provides solutions for live dealer gaming and mobile gaming. It also provides marketing services and works with both the online and land based casino industries.
With this very wide range of experience and expertise, Playtech is a very welcome new member of the Gaming Standards Association. The Gaming Standards Association, which was set up in 1998 as a non profit trade association with an international presence for those involved in gaming including operators, manufacturers, providers and regulators. Its aim is to provide benefits to all of its members while identifying, developing and then implementing standards for those in the gaming industry.
Playtech was founded in 1999 and is listed on the London Stock Exchange. The Isle of Man based company has around 3000 employees working in several countries worldwide. Recently it joined several well known groups such as Bally Technologies and International Game Technology as a platinum level member of the Gaming Standards Association. By developing and implementing standards, innovation and communication across the casino industry will be enhanced and so the Gaming Standards Association’s worldwide members will mutually benefit. Playtech is the first company from the online gaming industry to become a platinum member of the Gaming Standards Association. It will also be the first member which is involved in the online gaming industry to be on the Gaming Standards Association’s Online Gaming Committee.Both Playtech and the Gaming Standards Association should benefit from the company becoming a member. For Playtech the move will allow it to improve its offer across different areas and the Gaming Standards Association will benefit from the company’s vast experience in online gaming.
