First Live Gaming Studio in Michigan for PlaytechAs more states decide to legalize online casino games across the United States, several key players are racing to dominate the market. Last year, we reported that Michigan became the latest state to legalize and regulate live casino gaming. Evolution immediately made moves into the market, and now we can report that Playtech is opening a new studio in MI.

What does Playtech intend to do in Michigan? We’ll fill you in on the details here.

Playtech’s First Live Studio in the USA

Last year, Evolution made headlines when it partnered with Golden Nugget to launch a major online live dealer casino USA. As we predicted then, Playtech has quickly responded with the opening of its first live studio in Michigan. This is the Estonian’s firms’ first live gaming studio in the USA.

Playtech emphasized that it has secured a “long-term lease” and aims to use the same technology that’s found in its flagship studio in Riga, Latvia. This signals that Playtech has plans to remain in the US market for the long-haul and carve out market share for itself as more states legalize.

The new Playtech studio will be based in Southfield, Michigan, a city known as Michigan’s technology hub. It will be the first of its kind in the city. It follows an earlier story that Playtech has partnered with Parx Casino as it plans to enter the Michigan iGaming market.

The Race Is On – Live Dealer Casino USA

Anyone who knows much about live casino gaming knows that two key players will dominate this market; Evolution and Playtech. We’ve already seen a number of high-profile deals struck in 2021, and so far, things have been proceeding at a rapid pace in 2021. We can expect numerous new deals announced by both companies in the coming year.

It’s understood that online gaming will go live in Michigan in 2021, and there are already rumours about other states that plan to reap the rewards of increased tax revenues and new jobs. In an economic situation like the one the US has experienced recently, we can expect lawmakers to proceed hastily with any plans that raise new taxes and create new opportunities for locals.

For now, even players from states without regulated live casino gaming can still enjoy live games in casinos like Red Dog Casino. It’s based offshore in the Caribbean and offers live dealer roulette, blackjack, and baccarat.
